For 2-3 years I had been trying to figure out what God was doing so once I saw that He was pointing me toward full-time service I "chose" to respond by going to seminary and preparing for it. Pastoral ministry was where He directed me . It was not a mistake or something I imagined. But the way I understand what we refer to as "our calling", and I think I mentioned this in this post, there are primary and secondary callings that God places upon our lives. At this time, I need to give greater priority to my primary calling which is to be a husband and father and provider for my family. To uproot my family and move to take another pastorate somewhere would come into conflict with that. That's just where I'm at right now Curtis.
