Test Blog

This is a test blog to see if a disillusioned pastor in his mid-40′s can really figure out how to write a blog (whatever that is) and then post in on his own (yeah that’s right) website. In case you don’t get the humor that is intertwined in that first sentence, this is someone who could relate to football commentator John Madden, who once said “hell, I don’t even know how to dot com”. Furthermore, this is someone who at the time he heard that statement knew what the old football coach was talking about because it was still a couple years before, at the ripe old age of 37, I got on the internet for the first time. That was only because it was a class assignment during my second year at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Even though, since those days, I’ve done a good bit of writing (mostly for teaching within the local church), it is quite humorous and maybe even a little unbelievable, that with the help of a couple friends I am getting started with my very own website and blogging adventure. Maybe I can share some thoughts that can help other stuggling Christians, disillusioned church leaders, or just give hope to other over-40′s who are trying to overcome computer illiteracy.
